Just wondered what they would need so I could pick out a gift.

You could get a picture frame that says Sisters or matching outfits for the big and little sis. Maybe a bib or outfit that says “little sister.”
I always like to give diapers.. I know its not cute, but it really is what new parents need the most!
Have fun!

I love to give new babies coin banks. My best one was a baby hippo about 8 x 6 inches. It was pastel, cute, and very decorative…and practical. Another one is the indestructable picture album of family photos for the baby to hold (and chew). I have found them in stationery stores and card shops.

Well they probably already have all the important stuff like blankets and such, so go get them something that most parents won’t waste the money on but really want. Like I would love to have a wipes warmer, so that the baby isn’t getting wiped with freezing cold wipes in the middle of the night. We just don’t really want to spend the money on one. Something along that line, go to babies R us, the store or online and just browse for things that are functional but not something that would be bought by the parents who are more interested in spending the money on diapers and clothes.

well everyone is looking for that cute gift, but what would be a great gift, is a gift card from pampers.com or something, or babiesRus. Those would be the most helpful!

What about a basket for the Mom & Dad instead. Something they can use to relax when they have downtime (whatever that is lol) from the kids. A good movie, bottle of wine or something, things they can use to connect with each other.

If the couple already knows the sex, then they probably have a name picked out. You can get a personalized gift. Chances are that there will be a lot of reused items of clothing from the 1st child, therefore a personalized gift would be individual. I had a few diaper cover panties for my daughter, with her initials and/or name embroidered on them… I loved them, and they were adorable under a cute little dress.

My suggestion would be a pack of diapers and something nice for the big sister. She is going to be going through a BIG adjustment and may feel left out. This way she will be getting a gift along with her new sister.

It’s true that new parents are going to need diapers and supplies more than anything. Here a really cute and clever way to give them that the MTB will just love – a diaper cake! This is my favorite idea for an expecting mom. Every time I give one, the MTB just oohs and aahs. Check it out!
