What wedding Gift should i get my sister?

February 11, 2010 | In: Wedding Gifts

I am a bridesmaid in my sister’s August wedding. We are very close and I want to get her a thoughtful and memorable gift. Unfortunately I am only 16 and I do not have much to spend ($50-$75.) Any ideas?

A picnic basket, with crackers, cheese and a bottle of wine (your mom can buy the wine for you),
Two champagne glasses and a bottle of champagne,
Two bath towels in her favorite color and a bar of lavender soap, or
Two lawn chairs and a bottle of sunscreen.

How about a double photo frame?
Put a picture of the two of you when you were young on one side, and a recent picture of the two of you on the other.
If you purchase a really nice frame, the photos will be preserved and it will be a genuinely thoughtful gift your sister can enjoy for many years.

I got this from my lil sister and me and my hubby loved it. Its a “first dinner together” gift. She put together s dinner for us that we could make together. FOr example…she gave us a pasta dinner. in the gift box was this:

Spaghetti Sauce
Spaghetti Noddles
Strainer
Bottle of Red Wine (you can have your mom buy this for you to give or you can get sparkling cider)
Wine Glasses

All in all I think she spent $60 on it and me and my hubby loved it because it really was our first dinner together. It was very thoughtful of her. Good luck!

There are many personalised wedding items which would make memorable gifts.

Coffee mugs, magnets, mousepads, keychains to name but a few. There are loads of sites on the internet and one that I have found in particular you can personalise items with the wedding details. It is called Justbyjulie Brides and the link is below.

Hope this helps.
