A book of love poems, or a love poem you wrote yourself on colored paper and got a nice frame for. Also chocolate–or flowers. It’s hard to go wrong with a love poem and chocolate–or flowers. If she has any particular little things she likes, try to include that. It doesn’t have to be expensive, just from the heart. If you can’t write a rhyming poem, do a free form one reminding her of all the reasons you fell in love with her and still love her.

For our first anniversary, my husband and I were broke so I made him a coupon book. I wrote things like good for a back rub, foot massage, oral sex, etc. He loved it. We have been married for 8 years and he still talks about that book!!
