What should I get my fiance as a wedding gift?

I know that I would know him a lot better than anyone on here but I am just looking for a general idea. I was to get him something that is a traditional normal wedding gift and I am not sure what falls into that category. I would like something he and keep for years and year but nothing to terribly cheesy.

If I remember right, my husband and I didn’t get each other gifts. Often times the bride pays for the groom’s wedding ring as a gift, and vice versa.
You’d be surprised at how much you really don’t remember about your wedding, which is why I tell people not to go all out.

I don’t know, maybe a scrap book? Something memorable but not costly:) You know, after spending so much $$ you probably don’t want to buy something too too expensive.

When I got married, we got each other things for our honey moon
It was the first big vacation we had ever taken together.

We didn’t do gifts…he has his wedding ring to keep forever to remember the day by. We had love letters delivered to each other right before the ceremony but otherwise didn’t exchange gifts. I didn’t see the point.
