My cousin is having a baby and she already had a shower with the other side of her family. She got a lot of big things from that shower and the only things left on her registry are small or REALLY expensive. I want to get her something she will use ALOT (I already know diapers). Other than diapers what is the BEST gift I can get.

go to One Step Ahead website, they have TONS of cool, unique, useful stuff. They sell the BEST shopping cart seat cover, it’s like $30 I think. She won’t use it til the baby is able to sit up alone but it’s a great gift!
Ethan finally showed up!

receiving blankets! Seriously I thought I had alot, but they puke/pee on those so easily, and they get dirty so fast! You can never have enough!

Like the above poster said, a gift certificate to Babies r Us or the like would be great, they were really useful for us (diapers, clothing, etc…). Another great gift is things for when baby gets bigger, bigger sized clothing, etc. Another great idea is a gift certificate to JCPenny portraits (or another good portrait studio near her home) for her to have baby’s pictures taken. I would have loved that!! We spent soooo much having photos taken, but you can never get those little feet and fingers back!! Good luck!

A Moby Wrap! My friend got one as a gift and says it’s the best thing she never knew she needed. They are wonderful with a newborn because you can just wear the baby everywhere hands-free, no lugging them around in one of those awful heavy infant carrier/carseat things. Great way to get stuff done around the house too, when you have an infant who doesn’t want to be put down.

EDIT: Also ask her about diapers before you buy those, as more moms are going back to cloth these days.

stuff she will use everyday-lotion, babywash, butt cream, wipes, diapers. put it in a basket.
or if she already had a shower and got everything-get her a bath gift set, or slippers, hot coco & mugs, a dvd she might like. something for her. include a note and let her know this is for her, becuase you knew that she already had alot of baby items.

i generally buy a diaper bag and then fill it up with the odds and ends…onsies (and sleepers if its during cold season), bottles, teething gel/tablets, tylenol and gas drops, wipes to go with the diapers, receiving blankets, bibs, pacifiers, a wipe case for the diaper bag, teething rings, diaper rash ointment, sock or mittens, etc. or you can buy a baby bath tub and fill it up with soap, shampoo, lotion, oil, powder, q-tips, wash clothes, a towel, and stuff like that. a thermometer or ‘care kit’ is good too.

I’d say a wrap/sling. They are so useful when trying to get stuff done around the house. I loved mine.

Well, the BEST gift you could give is probably one of the expensive ones left on the gift registry. But a giftcard to Babies R’ Us would be nice if you don’t want to do that.

Baby feeding time necessities- Items that can help feed babies are always great gift choices. Baby bottles, baby formula, bottle holders, nipples, breast pump, bibs, feeding spoon, baby dishes, tipper cup and burp towels are great choices you can get.
