what is a good baby shower gift for a boy?

i want to knit a blanket and get a non expensive gift or two from her registry.but would that seem cheap? what would you do?

For my baby shower a friend knit me a blanket and it was one of my favorite gifts I have ever received because it was handmade from her for my son and it showed a lot of thought and care which you cant buy at a store. So i think a hand made knit blanket it a wonderful idea.

The hand-knit blanket by itself would be enough. Anything I received that was homemade or personalized or given extra thought I’ve kept. Getting too inexpensive gifts from her registry is a nice touch but I’m sure she’ll be impressed with the blanket.

The blanket is MORE than enough. Homemade gifts are the best gifts. She will really cherish that. If you do buy something, but a really nice bag/holder for the blanket so when the baby outgrows it, she will have something to store it in………..you are such a good friend to knit her a blanket…..how sweet.

Im having another boy….and someone made me a blanket. I loved it because it was handmade from them from thier heart.
If you want to buy something ….i suggest like baby wipes (trust me she will go through them a lot). Or what I really liked was Laundry Detergent. Dreft (for babies, sensitive skin).

Zim’s Crack Cream. It is really for dry hands, but with a name like that it needs to be a gift in a baby shower.

no…. i think thats a good gift. its not like everyone has tons of money these days! my friend made me a blanket and i looooove it! i thought i had too many blankets but soon realized u can never have to much! honestly i had tons of gifts and cant remember who got me what… so its not a big deal at all. i would maybe get her a few packs of onsies or socks and an outfit, or a box of newborn diapers, or even a pack of baby wash/shampoo/lotion. u should just walk in the baby isle at target or walmart and look at what they have! good luck:)

I completely agree, getting something that is hand made by the person that is giving it to you is so much more special than something expensive at the store. I don’t remember who got me what at my baby shower except for a diaper cake that my friend mom made me cause it just made it so special that she took the time to make instead of jut giving me a pack of diapers. Everyone understands money is tight these days but even if it wasnt the blanket is a great idea.
