What are some gift ideas for my husband for our first year anniversary?

Our anniversary is in two weeks and I don’t have any ideas outside of the tradtional things you might give your spouse for an anniversary gift. I thought of giving him a scrap book I’ve been working on over the years but I’m not sure that it’s going to really hit the spot if you know what I mean. Any ideas? Thanks.

Get him a DVD he likes and then buy a sexy nightie and anything else to give him an awesome night in the bedroom.

How about a home made coupon book with coupons like
-back rub
-massage
-sex
-favorite dinner
get creative
blind fold him, hand him a glass of wine and have him undress you bla bla bla

I gave my boyfriend of 6 years a vacation with his childhood friends for his b-day. I bought his plane ticket and worked out a date that they were all returning to their hometown and they got their own tickets. He is flying out for a music festival to spend a week with his 4 best friends he has known since he was a toddler. we are having a baby in 7 weeks so I thought it was a great way to give him some freedom before we are tied down with responsibilities. Hope it gives you some ideas

Ideas:
Make him a quilt
fishing equipment
camping equipment
car accessories from the dealership
personalized item from Things Remember store
bathrobe personalized with his name embroidered on it
watch if he needs it
tickets to sport event
tickets to concert, theatre, or opera
a weekend away
The scrapbook is good too because the first anniversary is “paper.”

To add to Cool Chic’s answer: since it’s your first anniversary and the traditional gift is paper…make and wear a paper dress. Write something suggestive on it, not that he’ll really need an excuse to “unwrap” you!

I think you are traditionally supposed to give something ‘paper’…lol…for you first gift. I forgot what the symbolism is..but it’s kind of cute. On a website I was looking at for you, they said the tradional was ‘paper’ and the modern was ‘clocks’. I actually think the clock idea is kind of cool. Like if you get a nice one for the living room especially for his style decor…it symbolizes some cool things….you love spending time with him…you love sharing your life with him…you are in this for the long run…whichever. It’s all nice.
