Take 6 – I’ll Be Home For Christmas (Live)

July 7, 2011 | In: Christmas Gifts

Take 6 — I’ll Be Home For Christmas My family and I had the privilege to see the great Take 6 on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 here in Dallas. I have loved Take 6 since their beginning. I have covered two of their songs in my multitrack repertoire, Come Unto Me (www.youtube.com ), and Let The Words (www.youtube.com ). Before I recorded Come Unto Me, I received an email from none other than Claude McKnight, lead tenor and founder of Take 6, who said that he has seen many of my videos and he really enjoyed them. Since then, we have become Facebook friends and he has commented on a few more of my videos. I wasn’t really sure if he would know me if he saw me…until tonight. Here is Take 6 (minus Dave Thomas) singing I’ll Be Home For Christmas. Wait for the ending. Let me apologize for the shakiness of the video. I was trying to watch them without watching through the video camera. If nothing else, listen to the greatness of Take 6 without watching the video. Just watch the end! Also, this song is on their newest CD, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year. Go buy this CD. It would make a great Christmas gift this year! If you can’t find it, go to Barnes and Noble. Thanks for watching! And thank you Take 6! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you. Vance

Mark did a Whitney Houston run at @ 2:02. Love it. Lol. I guess all great vocalist influence each other huh? I love this one…That Mark Kibble is nasty-sweet. Ouch. Sang Baby Sang!!! I listen just for the ending of this when Mark just burst out and POW just crashes it with soul! POP went the weasel and the weasel went POP! Say Amen and shut up. Lol.

I was recently on the website and wrote an email expressing my wish to see live performances of the Christmas songs. As I do not have cable, I miss any appearances that Take 6 may have made. This is awesome!
Thanks for posting VANCE!

We’re practically neighbors! I live in Garland. That “What’s up, Vance?” must have made your night. Merry Christmas to you, and to Take 6. Get well soon, Dave Thomas.

@jbcraipeau That’s awesome JB! I saw that video with your brother. What a special time!! T6 sure knows how to make people feel special. :) *For those of you who don’t know, JB is one of the best multitrackers here on youtube. Check out his channel for a special treat. He does many Take 6 covers and sounds just like them!* Happy Holidays, JB!

I’d love to hear this in a studio version so the mix is better. From what I could tell the harmonies were great!
