Should I get my daughter a Christmas gift for ages 2 years old?

March 10, 2010 | In: Christmas Gifts

She will be 17 months old on Christmas and most of the toys for ages 12-24 seem too babyish for her. Should I get her a gift that’s 2+?

The ages posted on the toys are more for the toy companies safety rather than the age group that it actually fits.

You need to be the judge of what you buy for your daughter. You know whether she puts things in her mouth so you shouldn’t buy her toys with small parts. You know if she’ll rip all the pages out of a book if you allow her read one. If you think she’s ready for the toys marked for 4 to 5 years old, then it’s okay to buy them for her.

Happy shopping!
