Sheldon is the best sitcom character EVER! Seriously, this show is nothing without him.

at comic con, a fan handed jim parsons aka sheldon a tissue to wipe his forehead with, so that the fan could grow his own sheldon cooper. ^^

and the producers or anyone sent the episode to the real leonard nimoy, together with such a napkin, which he then signed and returned. so funny ^^

While a lot of people may like the idea of Sheldon and Penny, I just think Sheldon’s personality is too odd to ever be in a meaningful relationship with someone who isn’t on his intellectual level. BTW the hug and Penny’s reaction of surprise and happiness is hillarious.

I think it wouldn’t fit Sheldon’s character to have a relationship with Penny. also Penny is to lively and ,well,”dumb” for him. It’s said that opposides attract, but I don’t think this would work out.
But I also don’t want a Penny/leonard relationship in the next one or two seasons. When those obvious Future-couples fall in love and start dating, it often destroys the series and makes it less interresting (Althoug it might lead to more Sheldon/Penny-knock scenes ).

originally, the show was about leonard: a geek with a tough upbringing who just wants to be ‘normal’, unlike the other characters who have extra ordinary personalities. however somewhere along the way the comedic effect of the chemistry between sheldon & penny just took over… personally i think that if the writers could find a way to write in romance between sheldon & penny, the show will a bigger hit if it isn’t already. i rekon leonard & penny have a close friendship not worth changing.

greatest scene of the whole season, the hug at the end is just priceless.
