Selena layed on the rim of the fire escape, venting to Nick about her past love with Joe. Nick sat there, carefully listening to her voice, tone, and every single word that escaped through those plush, pink lips of hers. She would nervously chew over the parts, where Selena knew she was sensitive to. The way Joe treated her like a queen, the way he would crack lame jokes that made her laugh, and the awfully sinister sight of him. With his plain muscles that popped out of his shirt, Joe was her first love. The first cut is always the deepest. “..he left for Maine, and that’s pretty much it.” Selena sniffled, grabbing the box of tissues that was laying on the marble, coffee table that Joe bought as a housewarming gift. She looked at Nick, he was an attractive man, why was he still single? “That sounds pretty bad.” Nick sighed, placing the glass cup down. He noticed how Selena eyed him, and his every move. She was so beautiful, her chocolate pupils, those waves of silky locks that cascaded over her back, Selena didn’t deserve to be in this pain. “What about you?” Selena curled her legs against her chest, inhaling the fresh, misty air that lingered outside. Everything was so gloomy, it brought down her mood. Rain droplets started to drip from the hanging clouds, and soon, it was pouring. Nick climbed back inside, and Selena followed him onto her creme-colored couch. Her house had a scent of cinnammon and vanilla, one of Joe’s foreign candles. “What about me?” Nick smiled …
