Strange recording.. It sounds like the lead was standing 10 feet from the mic. A special thanks to John Mattei who gave this to me as a Highschool graduation gift. I still enjoy your generous gift John. Does anybody have any info about The Reminiscents or The Goldentones? I know nothing about who they were or where they’re from.

I always like the spooky, distant sound of unrefurbished old doo-wop –taking the hiss, pops, and echo out of the song would ruin the mood. By the same token ,the Tico original is too packagedsounding,? in spite of Mr. Simon’s considerable talents….

The lead for The Reminiscents was Angelo Naviello. Dan Marsella was the manager and producer. The other members of The Reminiscents were? Judy Steinhart (first tenor), Walter “Buddy” Kritsky (second tenor), Bobby Sibilio (baritone/bass), and me, John Costa (bass/baritone).
