The best gifts I recieved were probably a huge box of huggies and wipes, lol. I also recieved a very beautiful quilt with my sons name and birthdate on it. I loved my boppy, it is a breastfeeding mom’s must have. My aunt got me tons of pretty baby picture frames and photo albums that I fell in love with. New mom’s love pictures, so that was an awesome gift. I think when I was a new parent I loved anything that was personalized with my son’s name on it. It’s just so exciting having a new little person, I love seeing and hearing his name. So personalized gifts are great. Hope I could be of some help.

Honestly, I think the best gifts are ones that are very practical. For example diapers, wipes, clothing staples etc… I had family who brought over a few meals that could be frozen and then baked for later on. Before having had children though, I wanted all those cutesy things, but after being a mom I realized how much of that stuff hardly got any use and how much I appreciated the “boring” stuff. Dont know if that helps but that’s my 2 cents!

The best gift I ever gave was a booklet I made up for a friend of mine that was having her first child and she didn’t have a clue on what to expect…So I asked all my friends, relatives, and even posted a question on here, and called the book
“What I wish I had known before I had my first baby”
She has found it very helpful
The best gift that I got was gift cards to places like Walmart and Sears…That way I could wait until after I had the baby and use it when I realized that I was missing something.

I honestly think that the best gift I received at my daughter’s baby shower was a basket full of baby items: wipes, socks, lotion, shampoo, wash, wash clothes, towels, Desitin, Q-tips, Baby Tylenol, Baby Orajel… everything that a baby needs, but are usually overlooked!!

The best-ever present I got was when I had my son. I was given a big basket (like a picnic basket) full of baby stuff like powder, bib etc. And also in the basket was some other stuff for me like bubble bath etc. The basket was wrapped in celephone paper.
