Is a makeup book a good birthday gift?

For my friend’s birthday, I got her a book that teaches all about makeup- tools, proper application, products, colors, different looks, etc. She’s into girly things, so I figured it would be a nice gift. On second thought though, do you think she would get offended by it and take it as if i’m implying she does a horrible makeup job on herself? I don’t want her to think that. I just thought it was a good book and I even bought myself a copy.

If she’s into makeup then it would be a good gift. But even if she’s not I don’t think it would be offensive unless she’s really sensitive or something.

I don’t think she’ll get offended or anything. You’re probably just over analyzing it. I think it’s a great idea for a gift! Maybe you could get some lip gloss or something to go along with it!

Sounds like a great gift to me! I would love to learn how to apply shadows and stuff. I usually just put on mascara and liner.

i would love that…! no i do not think she would take it offensively. I bet she would read all of it. It would really help her on a day to day basis. YOure not implying that she does a bad job your just saying that there are alot of diff. variations and ways to apply makeup. And by the way which makeup book? hope this helped:)

Yes, makeup books make really good gifts. Makeup books are really fun to read and everyone can learn a few pointers or new tips and tricks. Also usually they are really helpful for skincare regimens or step by step instructions on how to create certain makeup looks.
I think it`s actually a great gift that you can`t go wrong buying for someone who is in to all of that stuff. My aunt got me a makeup book when I turned thirteen and I still page through it to this day! I don`t think she will be offended at all for you buying a makeup book for her.
