My friend is getting married soon but I am stuck on what to give the newlyweds as a wedding gift. They have shared residence for many years and really have everything they need. I would like to give them a gift of cash but would like to do it in a unique way, any ideas?

Do you know where they are going on their honeymoon. Our friend called the resort and paid for a $100 gift certificate/credit on our account there to help pay for food, drinks or whatever we wanted. It was a nice surprise.

How about getting them a gift card to their favorite store? That way you know they both will use it.
Hope this helps(:

Well you could check out their registry, even though they have lived together for awhile they still might need a few things.
Maybe try and find out where they are having a honeymoon and get them a gift certificate to a nice restaurant in the area.

I’m going to a wedding for a girl I havn’t seen since I was 10. I honestly don’t even know why I was invited LOL. But I’m giving her 100 dollars in a pretty wedding card. I would say if you’re close and if you can afford it maybe give 200 dollars, or see where they are registered and what they need/want. If you are not close cash about 50-100 dollars is always good.

Cash is king.
But give it in the form of a personal check. Cash has a mysterious way of separating from a card!
