I need a nice gift idea for my friend of 20 years that just brought her 1st house. NO gift cards. I need something special that no one else would.
Soooooo many good ideas, its going to be really hard to pick one. I think i may have made it harder on myself.
BTW its also her birthday.

make her up a basket and put candles and potpourri in it. or you could get her a nice expresso maker or a made up basket of different kinds of coffee with other goodies in it.

An outdoor fire pit is really nice. Not something anyone else would think of getting. There are so many different styles to choose from and can be small or large.

I would grab a purty bag and put a decorative piece for her to display during a holiday in it…IE: A Haunted Mansion that you put a tealight in or a Fall candle shade & yankee candle….it’s the thought.
If you know her style buy her something to display everyday.
What a great friend you are! I always attach choclates to every woman gift I give…who doesn’t like Lindt/Godiva?

It sound odd, but a very nice doorknocker, if she doesn’t already have one is a novel and useful idea. A truly handsome tray is nice as well.

If you have been friends with this person for 20 years, you must have lots of pictures of the two of you. A personal gift could be a scrapbook of the past 20 years filled with wonderful memories of times the two of you have shared. Make it into something very special, like a coffee table book. It would definitely be unique and a conversation piece for all to share. What a wonderful tribute to such a good friend.

buy a nice wicker laundry basket, add a towel set, bath oils etc. nice smelling candles, and any other products you know she likes to pamper her, use tissue paper crumpled around, to hold everything in place, and a big bow. or if she is more of a piratical person feel basket with cleaning and useful items.

When my friend had her housewarming party, I brought her a big pot of Chrysanthemums.
Or you could make her a gourmet food basket with some fresh pasta & sauce, cheese, wine, coffee, tea… if you like to bake, some muffins or a cake.

try the gift mentioned above AND a few gift cards. New homeowners need a lot of things so a gift card is more thoughtful than you think.

how about one of your guy friends if she is single, that way he will have somewhere to stay and she will have company. If she is not single then get her roses.
