Has anyone heard of a Baby Cocoon and is this a good gift (something they will actually use)?

I need a baby shower gift and my mom is an awsome at crocheting. She said she would do something like a blanket or something that wouldn’t take too long because it is in two weeks. Is this something useful? Or would a blanket be better. Their would be a matching hat to go with the Cocoon. I have a pattern picked out that is cute but I would just like to know if this is something that would be wanted.
If not, are there any other idea’s that would be a useful gift? Crochet type gifts.

A baby cocoon is a very nice gift, they come in all different colors so you can choose one to suit the parents! They keep babys, still, warm, cosy and comfy. As for if they will use it I don’t know them so that is for you to work out…
