My dad was the pilot for Northwest Missouri State University for 20 years (1979-99). His retirement gift from the university, for 20 years of stellar, loyal service (after a stellar, loyal 30-year career with the US Air Force) was a Bon Voyage flight in a converted (2-seater) P-51 Mustang, the plane he flew in WWII with the 8th Air Force.
