A friend of mine just had a baby and they said the only thing they really need is something to put the diapers in to help with the smell. I have seen like diaper compacter things…i dunno can’t spend to much money what are the different things i could probably get locally to help them with this diaper delimma…

The diaper compactor things don’t work. I tried everything and the only thing that works is a ziploc bag. Ziploc them and NO SMELL!

I prefer the Diaper champ about the same cost as a diaper genie but you can use regular trash bags instead of special diaper genie packages.
nice but dirty

the diaper gene sucks, you have to buy special bags and they always tear
go with the diaper champ, you can use regular bags and it works a lot better

Tell them to use a diaper pail and stick a stick-on air freshener to the top.

Get them an attractive garbage can (with a foot petal) & many boxes of the plastic diaper bags from a dollar store. They’re 100 for $1 & work great.
You could even get super creative and paint the garbage can with their childs name, a cute saying or go with their nursery theme.

I have the diaper champ. It is nice because you don’t have to buy the refills like you do with the diaper genie. I have been using it for 10 months now and we empty it about once a week. Very minimal smell. You can buy it at babies r us or target I know and probably some other places. I also buy the scented garbage bags to help calm the odor.

I used the diaper genie when my kids were in diapers. If its used right they work great. There also pretty cheap you can get them just about anywhere. Walmart, Kmart, Target ect. Get the scented bag insert it makes a difference.

Diaper Geni is cheap and works good until they are like a year old. After that, you have to put them in plastic sealed haz mat bags and run outside to the trash!

i personally use a grocery bag for each poopy diaper and then throw it away in the big trash can in the garage, and i have a regular trash can for the non poopy diapers. it helps sppp much. i get to recycle grocery bags and not spend tons of money on the genie stuff.

Ugh, I paid $40 for a diaper genie and it got stuck about two weeks after my son was born, and now it sits in my gargae broken because I had no reciept. More trouble that its worth. I just put them in the trash and take it out if it stinks.

A small cheap waste can with a lid and diaper trash bags. You can get them a places like Walmart and Baby’s R US. Sometimes you can find them in little cute dispensors that can be attached to diaper bags.

I also love the Diaper Champ…..you can use regular trash bags which are must cheaper than diaper genie bags…….It does get kind of smelly so I put a stick-up air freshner at the bottom.

Nobody ever uses those diaper genies. They think they will, but they don’t. The coolest gift to get for a baby and it’s inexpensive, is to buy like 100 shares of a penny stock. Find some bizarre company who has a crazy idea, and invest 10 dollars in it. The baby will get stock reports. Who knows, maybe the company will be the new Microsoft.

I use grocery bags to put the stinky diapers in. I make sure I tie them up real tight. The work better than the diaper pail. I know you don’t want to get her bags, but that works better.

You can go to Babies R Us and get a diaper genie. We’ve never purchased one. Babies poop so much, we’re just constantly changing the trash bag.
